It is a beautiful space. We highly recommended.
☺ It has been tastefully renovated and features architectural details throughout. The window to the atrium lets in much-appreciated sunlight, and the interior lighting creates a nice ambiance.
☹ Need to carry the luggage for about 200 meters from where we were drop off by the taxi since the property is in a market with narrow walkways not big enough for the taxi. However, Tuk-tuks can access.

☺ In the thick of it! Which we loved. Has everything you need and nothing more. Staff super lovely and communicate really well on WhatsApp. Brekkie is a nice touch to fuel your exploration of the city! Hot tip - Tripolia gate is a good landmark for tuk tuk drivers and rides under 15 mins should be 50-200inr
☹ Few negatives but not a big deal and shouldn’t stop you from booking in any way, more of an FYI so you know. They lock the doors to the property at 10:30pm as a safety thing, which is needed because it’s a busy street but annoying if you’re a night owl! That said, the team are super flexible and helped us by leaving it open a bit later some nights. The room we had had no windows so you’ll need to relax in communal spaces to get some natural light. And you’ll need to walk a short way with your bags getting in and out, but that’s just India for you 😅

The breakfast was very good and the staff were excellent. Very helpful at organising a taxi to pushkar as well as advising our daytime activities. It is a nice location with the busy markets in the evening. The beds were comfortable and the shower room was very nice. Overall a great stay and definitely recommend

Right at the Heart of the City
Staying at Heart of the City in Jaipur was one of the highlights of my trip! From the moment I arrived, I felt completely at home thanks to the incredibly warm and welcoming hosts, Poorvi and Prakhar, and the ever-helpful manager Bhupinder. Their hospitality and attention to detail truly made this stay special. We arrived a bit early but we were given a room to rest while the other was being prepared. We also got to check out later as we had a late night flight which was very considerate. The location is absolutely ideal—right in the center of Jaipur, close to all the must-see spots like the City Palace, Hawa Mahal, and local markets. Whether I wanted to explore or just relax, everything was easily accessible. The property itself is beautiful and thoughtfully maintained, with a lovely blend of traditional Rajasthani design and modern comfort. My room was clean, spacious, and cozy, with everything I needed. Poorvi and Prakhar were so kind and full of great local recommendations, from hidden gems in the city to the best food spots. Bhupinder was always around to help with anything I needed, and his warm, friendly nature made a real difference. If you’re visiting Jaipur and want an experience that goes beyond just a hotel stay, Heart of the City is the place. It’s more than just a place to sleep—it’s a place where you’re genuinely cared for. Can’t wait to come back!

Muy bien situado en el centro de la ciudad vieja. Habitación muy amplia, limpia y cómoda con todas las facilidades. La familia que lo regenta es muy amable y te ayuda en todo lo que puedas necesitar. A lovely, clean and peaceful escape from the chaos outside. The rooms lead off a beautifully tiled inner courtyard and ours was spacious and spotless. Poorvi was friendly and super helpful. I can highly recommend this as the perfect place to stay in Jaipur.

Central, limpo, confortável e tranquilo (uma raridade no Rajastão)
Ficámos hospedados numa suite deste Homestay de 8 a 10 de janeiro de 2025. A limpeza, o conforto (cama, almofadas, dispensador de água filtrada, casa-de-banho, serviço de pequeno-almoço no quarto à hora indicada na véspera, etc.) e a simpatia e disponibilidade da Poorvi e do seu empregado são inexcedíveis. Trata-se de um homestay muito bem cuidado, limpo, organizado e com um ambiente muito tranquilo e agradável. O que destoa claramente, pela positiva, dos restantes hotéis e homestays do Rajastão e das restantes cidades do norte da Índia que visitámos. A localização é soberba. Pela pesquisa efetuada inicialmente, pareceu-nos ser o melhor estabelecimento de entre os localizados na zona mais central da Pink City (o que nos foi possível confirmar a posteriori). Os principais pontos de interesse da cidade estão a uma distância de umas centenas de metros a pé (o palácio da cidade, o Jantar Mantar, o Haxa Mahal - palácio dos ventos -, os mercados locais - johari bazzar, bapu bazzar, tripolia bazzar -, a ajmeri gate, o Albert Hall Museum - este, ligeiramente mais longe, mas igualmente acessível a pé, ou de Tuk Tuk: 100 rupias, o que equivale a, sensivelmente, € 1,10). Igualmente perto (600 a 800 metros) estão dois restaurantes fantásticos (o Baradari Restaurant & Bar e o Laxmi Mishan Bhandar - o LMB -, sendo este último, muito provavelmente, o restaurante mais afamado entre os locais e com muita razão. Enfim, não temos um único reparo menos positivo a fazer relativamente à experiência que tivemos neste Homestay. Muito pelo contrário, excedeu largamente as nossas expetativas. A Poorvi é uma excelente gestora. Cuidadosa, preocupada, inteligente e tem as instalações muito bem cuidadas, limpas e novas. Para além do mais, a localização permite absorver toda a realidade de jaipuir em muito pouco tempo. Fica aqui, novamente, a nossa gratidão pela forma como fomos recebidos e pela excelente experiência que nos foi proporcionada pela Poorvi e pelo seu estabelecimento.

A real retreat in the city. During the day not possible to come with a car. The place is clean by European standard, the host family lives on the first floor the guest rooms are on the ground floor. The sleeping quality is excellent, the temperature is agreable, unlike many other hotels in winter time

Very well appointed room, nice ambience, aesthetically decorated with full modern amenities yet a homely feel. We loved the warm welcome, hospitality and local guidance received from the hosts. Prompt service, care and consideration for the guests needs made our stay memorable. Thanks to Prakhar, Purvi, Rashmi aunty, Uncle and Bhupendra ji for making it that way. What inconvenience the location caused due to non availability of parking spaces, congested, narrow lanes amidst the Tripolia Bazar at the heart of the Pink city was more than made up by the Services offered by the hosts, a very very memorable homestay experience! We would love to come back!

A real oasis in the heart of the pink city
Rashmi has a very new and perfect homestay in the heart of the pink city. The room was extremely comfortable, big, and clean. With air conditioning, fan, and depurate water dispenser (hot, ambient, and cold water). Prakhar is a fantastic host, provided us all the information and helped us to book the train for our next stop. I would say a real oasis in Jaipur!
